Zakat … What’s that mean?

Zakat is a treasure that must be issued if in compliance with the terms set by religion and distributed to people who have been determined [eight categories are eligible to receive zakat]

As stated in Surah At-Tauba verse 60:
“Indeed it is zakat-alms, just for poor people, poor people, board-management of zakat, the mu’allaf who persuaded his heart, for slaves, the people who owe, to the way of Allah and to their being yuang travel, as required by a statute of God, and Allah is Knower, Wise. ”

Zakat in Arabic has several meanings:
1. At-Thohuru [cleanse or purify]
This meaning is confirmed that the people who always pay the obligatory alms for God and not because people want to be praised, God will cleanse and purify both his wealth and his soul.

Allah says in Surah At-Tauba verse 103:
“Take alms of their wealth to charity that you cleanse and purify them and mendo’alah to them. Indeed serenity prayer that you soul to them. And Allah is Hearing, Knowing. ”

2. Al-Barakatu [blessing]
This meaning is confirmed that the people who always pay the zakat, their property will always blessings bestowed by God, and blessing for this property will affect the blessing of life. This blessing was born because of the treasure that we use is a sacred treasure and clean, because our property has been cleaned of dirt with a substantially regular charity charity itself serves to cleanse and purify the property.

3. An-Numuw [grow]
This meaning is confirmed that the people who always pay the obligatory charity, his wealth (by Allah) will always continue to grow and develop. This is caused by the sanctity and blessing treasures that have been fulfilled zakat obligation. Of course we never hear of people who always pay the obligatory charity with sincerity for Allah, then a lot of experience in property and business issues, be it bankruptcy, destruction, loss of business, and so forth. Of course we never heard anything like that, that there is even the contrary.

4. As-Sholahu [freedom]
Namely that those people who always pay the obligatory charity, his wealth will always be wrong and a lot of problems. The person in whose wealth is always overwritten natural disasters or issues, such as bankruptcy, theft, kerampokan, lost, and so forth may be because they always neglect of charity which is their role and rights of the poor and other groups who have God mentioned in Al – Quran .
